Gas installations for restaurants and other commercial kitchens such as food court, resorts, hotels, guest houses etc. are eligible in terms of commercial and security side consists of several parts, namely:

1. Gas Central Installation

Installation of central gas is needed in a commercial kitchen like a restaurant because of the large gas consumption each day must require more than one gas cylinder. Therefore, the gas cylinder should be separate from the kitchen area, in addition to making the room becomes narrower and more risky to a fire hazard if the gas cylinder is placed close to the source of the fire ie the stove.

2. Installing Gas Pipes

To distribute the gas from the central to the equipment – the equipment of the restaurant in the kitchen that is using a metal pipe. The type of iron pipe in use is a seamless pipe (no connection in it) schedule 40 with a minimum thickness of 4 mm. Connection technique used is by way of “welding”. 3. Control Panel & Gas Detector Alarm

The control panel is coupled with a gas centroid and gas alarm detector located at the exit points of the gas stream (other gas cookers and appliances). This panel function to decide the flow of electricity to a solenoid in a case of leakage. The panel can also be connected to the alarm master gas panel of the mall or the fire alarm panel to inform the tenant of the gas leak situation to immediately turn off the central gas flow of the building.
